Flute communitiesThis is a featured page

Connect with fellow flutists online:
  • The alt.flute newsgroup—a Usenet discussion group about all types of flutes (including Irish flutes). You can browse the newsgroup using a Web-based newsgroup reader, such as the one at http://alt-news.net/alt.flute/.
  • Chiff & Fipple's (main site) flute discussion forum—perhaps the best community on the Web for discussing the Irish flute. These folks know their stuff!
  • The Session's (main site) discussion forum—a wide-ranging discussion forum that focuses on the music (whereas the Chiff & Fipple forums focus more on the instruments). But there are occasional discussions about the Irish flute. The Session also has a phenomenal tune bank for learning new tunes.
  • woodenflute.com's e-mail discussion list—a low-volume discussion list whose contributors, like those on the Chiff & Fipple forum, are some of the biggest and best-known makers and players of the Irish flute.
